FIP Responds/ Giving Tuesday Results

You Are Not Alone

“You are not alone in this,” he said, “you are always in our prayers.”

That’s what our longtime volunteer, Armando Nájera, told Felipe Gutierrez, our village medical clinic director, when he arrived in Jalapa Tuesday morning. Felipe traveled for many hours to deliver much-needed food for Armando and his family, the first stop in a very long day.

Armando, as always, was thinking of others. Praying for others, even in the face of his own challenges. Because of the crisis, many of our volunteers, who are so very poor themselves, were in need of food. And Faith In Practice—you—responded.

While our staff delivered care packages, you gave. Abundantly. Prayerfully. Answering the call even though it may have been difficult for you to give.

While Armando assured Felipe that we are not alone in this, you showed Armando that neither is he. Because of your generosity, your compassion for Armando and all of our Guatemalan volunteers, you raised more than $28,500 this Giving Tuesday. And the deliveries continue today.

We are so grateful for your support, your prayers, and for the many messages of encouragement you sent with your gifts.

‘You are not alone in this.’ The message we all need to hear. This and every day. We are not alone in this. Thanks be to God.
