Day Two

Healing Hands and Full Hearts in Antigua: An Update from the Heinrich Pond Team

This week in Antigua, the Faith in Practice Heinrich Pond Team is honored to continue our mission of healing with compassion and excellence. We’re thrilled to share that our team will be performing around 80 life-changing surgeriesduring our time here.

This year, we are joined by 27 new volunteers and 23 returning team members — a powerful blend of fresh energy and experienced hearts, all united by a shared calling to serve. Every individual has stepped forward with courage and compassion, giving their time and talents to make a tangible difference in the lives of our patients.

We are blessed to be operating across six specialized surgical rooms:

Three dedicated knee operating rooms
One hip operating room
One foot and ankle room
One trauma room
These rooms are more than just physical spaces — they are places of transformation, where pain meets healing and hope is restored.

To our supporters: Thank you. Your prayers, encouragement, and generous support make this work possible. Every patient who walks again, every family who breathes easier, every volunteer who leaves changed — it all begins with your belief in what we do.

As we move through this sacred week, we carry your support in our hearts and the stories of each patient in our hands.

With gratitude,
The Heinrich Pond Team
