Day#4-TUES (8/5)

Opening word for Pastor Raul-

Today we are continuing to change lives “with” God sharing our different gifts to make this mission successful-seeing people leave with smiles filled new found “Hope”~Mark6:7-13

We witnessed a reminder today~God’s child is in many faces-~today was very emotional with “joyful” tears! We saw young and the elder with many needs.

The team creates a room filled with flowing love, compassion, and spiritual being…working with patience and understanding as each person translates their ailments awaiting for a hopeful translation that God has listened to their prayers and sent answers for their mobility needs!

Daniela Fernandez Miranda (16yo) came in with cerebral palsy. Her family has had to carry her everywhere; when they arrived I witnessed her mother carrying her into the check-in area.

Making her way to our amazing Physical Therapist’s station; she was excited knowing the next step…mobility relieving her mother of not having to carry her any longer. When Daniela saw “her” wheelchair (her mobility) brought over her eyes welt to tears,~truly Overwhelmed with tears of joy! Her mother said she was so grateful that God chose her today to be blessed with new beginnings, the ability to sit up straight and not be carried! The feeling from her outpouring gratitude warmed my heart I cried the “happy tears” of God’s grace!

Our PT-Claudia asked “which color tape for the foam rollers”-she picked sunflowers 🌻 of course! …matches her personality ~the ray of light that beamed into everyone’s heart throughout our room! Grateful and humbled!!

The gifting of a wheelchair for a young person like Daniela has an aura that “Hope” strengthens one’s faith knowing that God is always near making our lives better! It has shifted the family dynamics to be more free to move in sync and not feel confined or restricted to going out, the heaviness is gone!

David (66yo) had gangrine on his toes that moved into his leg 20 years ago, causing amputation above the knee. It alters your life when one loses a part of themself; creates the Sense of loss and emptiness and that you may slow down the path of others around you because of your added need for help! David comes embracing a new found “Hope” of in Gods direction with answers through provisions of mobility. Today he was sized for a new wheelchair which gives him the mobility needed to reduces the family stress. His ability to move along by himself freely and feel “whole” again!

Jose Luis (72yo) has polio causing one leg to be shorter than the other. He was blessed with a wheelchair which had to be modified to fit the shorter leg! Albert (wheelchair tech) cut blocks to fit the size difference so Jose was able to sit up comfortably. God has provided the hands and hearts to create the “right fit”, reminding Jose…God loves him, he will always be there for him!

Ramon Gonzales(27yo)-was hit by an 18 wheeler while riding his motorcycle; both legs were fractured (R-tibial fracture and L-finial fracture). He has an open wound in his left leg and they are both bandaged for recovery. His face is still recovering from rash burns. He came in with a “beautiful” warming smile knowing “today” God was going to be here to bless him With Hope and healing!

He will not be able to work or walk for a year; he has to be able to stand up before he would considered for physical therapy.

This wheelchair is life changing giving him the freedom to move and believe God has plans for him~he’ll recover and become mobile and not sit at home immobile and unable to go anywhere leaving an emptiness in his heart feeling alone and depressed. God knows our journey long believe we do..now Ramon has been enriched in his heart that Gods journey is for him!!

He’s mobile and being his ability to site up and be mobile he may be able to work a low scale job to give financial stability until recovery begins!

To know God loves you enough to take care of “ALL” your needs is to walk with him in pure faith!! …..You are never alone~
