A Week of Healing, A Lifetime of Gratitude
As the sun set on our final day at Hospital Hilario Galindo, we closed the chapter on a week that will forever be etched in our hearts. 31 surgeries completed. More than 31 lives changed. Countless moments of grace, courage, and connection. This wasn’t just the end of a mission—it was the beginning of something far greater.
We came here to serve, but as we reflect, we find ourselves asking: were we the ones doing the healing, or were we the ones being healed? The answer, perhaps, is both.
In the operating rooms and recovery wards, friendships blossomed—some within our team, others with the patients and families who welcomed us with open arms and unwavering trust. These are bonds that never would have formed had we not stepped out in faith and answered the call to serve.
Faith in Practice isn’t just a name—it’s a way of life. It’s the belief that our skills are not our own, but gifts to be shared. That healing is not just physical, but spiritual. That when we show up with open hands and willing hearts, God meets us there and does the rest.
As the first orthopedic team to serve at HHG, we were humbled to help pave a new path—one that opens doors for future care, for new specialties, for more lives changed. It’s a beginning, not an end.
We leave with full hearts, grateful for the opportunity to make a difference—not just in the lives of our patients, but in the life of this hospital and its community. And while our time here has come to a close, the impact of this week will ripple far beyond these walls.
We would like to thank the hospital staff at HHG, Fito, Majo, and all the faith in practice staff for their hard work, dedication and confidence in our team. Without you, this mission’s success would not have been as great.
Here’s to new beginnings, lasting friendships, and the sacred work of healing—together.
