Day 2

In any Faith in Practice Medical Clinic, the Mobility Clinic has to be the happiest place. Every person leaving has a big smile on their face, and is excited to use their new mobility device.

Patients first have their vital signs taken, then are triaged before talking to a doctor. They then will either visit physical therapy, or will talk to the doctor, at which point they may be referred to another clinic. By the time they leave, they have a wheelchair or other mobility device to take home with them.

Today, I watched an elderly man receive a wheelchair of his own, and both he and his family were elated. Later, I saw a young girl who got her first wheelchair from FIP when she was 2 years old receive a new, larger wheelchair.

The happiness in this clinic is wonderful, and it is amazing to see everyone with a smile on their face, both doctors and patients.
