Partnership Spotlight: McKesson
The work of Faith In Practice is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of partners who believe everyone deserves access to quality healthcare. For the past 10 years, McKesson has been one of those trusted partners, helping ensure our medical teams have the supplies they need to care for patients throughout Guatemala.
Since 2016, McKesson has provided essential medical and surgical supplies that support our volunteer physicians, nurses, and caregivers as they serve communities with limited access to healthcare. This past year we suddenly lost our vendor for our surgery packs that our surgery teams rely on. McKesson stepped up to begin supplying these packs for us, seamlessly allowing our teams to continue to providing essential surgeries to patients in need. Those supplies play an important role in every stage of our work, allowing our teams to deliver safe, compassionate care to more than 30,000 patients each year.
10 Years of Partnership, Thousands of Lives Changed
As McKesson reflects on the past decade of partnership, Bradley Kosak, Primary Care Account Manager, shared what this collaboration has meant to their team:
“For more than a decade, McKesson has been proud to partner with Faith In Practice in support of its mission to bring compassionate, life-changing healthcare to underserved communities throughout Guatemala. Since 2016, our partnership has helped ensure access to the medical and surgical supplies needed to support the organization’s extensive network of volunteers, physicians, nurses, and caregivers.
Through Faith In Practice’s integrated model of care, more than 30,000 patients receive healthcare services annually, restoring health, mobility, dignity, and hope to individuals and families who might otherwise have limited access to treatment. We are honored that our role in supporting their supply needs helps make these missions possible. While the products are important, the true impact of this 10-year partnership is measured in the lives transformed, the communities strengthened, and the brighter futures created for countless patients across Guatemala.”
Those words capture what this partnership is really about. Every shipment of supplies represents another opportunity to provide care, whether it’s helping a surgeon restore mobility, equipping a medical clinic, or supporting a patient on the road to recovery. McKesson’s generosity allows our volunteers to focus on caring for patients, knowing they have the tools they need to provide high-quality treatment.
Looking back over the last decade, this partnership has been about much more than medical supplies. It has helped make thousands of life-changing moments possible for patients and families across Guatemala. Together, Faith In Practice and McKesson have helped restore health, renew hope, and strengthen communities, one patient at a time.
