Day 1 – Sunday- April 19, 2026
· God Is Love –
Day one started with a wonderful devotion about God and his love for all. We arrived to the hospital with numerous patients in sight. Before unloading our countless totes full of medical supplies, Hector gathered everyone – providers, patients, family and friends in prayer and praise. Preop began with OR organization and patient interviews. Wheelchair clinic quickly got to patient evaluation and wheelchair assembly. Eye exams began with patients lining up and down the hall. Big thank you to Dr. Story for donating 200 reader eye glasses, we were able to offer an additional service to our patients!
As the day progressed, having all areas prepped, and ready for the coming days, we aired up a few donated soccer balls to gift the children; The games were on! Smiles and laughter filled the courtyard.
Tomorrow brings a new day, full of scheduled procedures, evaluations and more wheelchair assembly. Blessing more of gods people and spreading his love! – And hopefully another little soccer game to end the day.
