Day Three
A Heart for Healing: Welcoming Dr. Ben
Adesope
We are honored to introduce Dr. Oluwagbeng “Ben” Adesope, our new CEO at Faith In Practice.
Though he’s been with us for just seven months, it’s already clear that God’s hand led him here— and that his heart beats in rhythm with our mission.
For Dr. Ben, healthcare has always been personal. As a young boy in Africa, he lost his grandmother to complications from diabetes-an illness that went undiagnosed because his hometown had no means of testing. His family prayed fervently for a missions doctor to come.
That doctor never arrived. But something stirred in Ben’s heart. In that moment of grief, he felt a calling—to become the doctor that never came.
Now, years later, that calling has brought him to Faith In Practice.
Dr. Ben’s compassion for our patients and commitment to our teams shine through in all he does. This week in Antigua, after the earthquakes, his presence has been steady, reassuring, and filled with faith. He has gone out of his way to ensure our team feels safe, supported, and empowered to continue our work.
His leadership reminds us that healing comes in many forms-through surgery, through service, and through the quiet strength of a heart rooted in faith.
We are grateful for the journey that brought Dr. Ben to us, and even more grateful for the road we’re now walking together.
