DAY FOUR
It’s a Family Mission
Wolff Family
Lorri and Scooter Wolff first answered the call to participate on a Faith in Practice mission trip in 2007, when their four daughters were all under the age of 13. Lorri had been exposed to Faith in Practice by her mother, Martha Burr, who was a volunteer and supporter, and she and Scooter signed on as co-team administrators for our team. They have maintained that key role ever since. As they kept returning, their daughters were growing up, and eventually they started going on the trips themselves. Casey was the first Wolff daughter to volunteer in Guatemala, working on the Johnson Team in 2012 with her grandmother. Amanda first participated during college in 2017 as a Spanish translator. “I was shadowing the doctors and nurses in the OR that year, and I was just dying to come back one day where I could be taking care of the patients myself.” She has returned twice now as a licensed nurse. Cara went on to complete nursing school as well and is joining our team for the first time. This year Cara is helping to run the Postoperative Care Unit, Amanda is the circulating nurse in the urology OR and Lorri and Scooter continue to keep our team organized and pointing in the right direction.
