Day#6-Thur (8/7)

What an amazing, fruitful, experience connecting with Chisec community! So proud of the God given talent, compassion, unconditional love, and kindness that Team 874 poured into the people of Chisec in the last week!

The gratitude reflects in the patients leaving with smiles of pride and grateful to God’s grace due to mobility (crutch’s, canes, walkers), children with Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, neurological issues causing horizontal line of vision now upright seeing at eye level and not feeling a heavy weight on being carried place to place! This week created sustainability, strengthening their spiritual journey with God and knowing they are never alone~that God listens!

Our last morning began very slow, but quickly had a mass influx of patients~the message was out FIP is here with “Hope” of gaining a device that would allow mobility for life changing dynamics.

The hands and heart of God were everywhere making miracles happen, it is not by accident each person was here today; either as patient coming for mobility needs prompting more freedom to move….Or, those using their hands and heart to nurture empty souls, and bring “Hope” alive giving attention to stories, enriching souls, building faith~Changing Family Dynamics, Changing individual lives allowing independence!

Elvira (77yo) fell 2 years ago and fractured her arm, has neuropathy, continual fluid retention and swollen feet due to diabetes. Getting her wheel chair will ease her symptoms providing mobile sustainability.

Pedrina (47yo) had a stoke years ago causing half her body to be paralyzed. She came, her husband carrying her~ patient and offering a beautiful smile to the PT, she radiated with gratitude for the blessings of mobility.

Eduardo (52) has Shoulder Pain and Disability Index (SPADI) in all limbs with contractures~he came in with a very old chair and needed a reliable wheelchair for his brother to help maintain mobility!

Gods plan is known for us, although the journey is never what we expect it’s certain that He knows~ being here leads to our purpose for serving with God!

Our weekly stats of serving:

Ephesians 2:8-10

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
