Today was the first day of Surgeries. The Robinson team was able to complete 12 surgeries today. The Team must operate within COVID protocols. The pandemic is still very alive here in Guatemala and the people have just started to get their first doses of the vaccine. The city of Antigua is quiet when normally the streets are bustling.

A typical surgery day, pre COVID pandemic, would have allowed for more surgeries. Despite the risks of this pandemic, patients are anxiously awaiting the opportunity to be healed by surgery. The Obras hospital today was alive with the energy of the staff working and the patients waiting to be called. Tonight we rest for our day of surgeries tomorrow with our hearts filled.
