Faith In Practice has partnered with Rotary International to expand access to life-saving care across Guatemala, starting with women’s health services!
Thanks to generous support from Rotary Clubs in California, Canada, Guatemala, and the most recently developing relationships in Houston & Denver, this partnership has already brought extraordinary impact:
2025 Women’s Health Program Outcomes:
3,580 women screened for cervical cancer via the VIA technique
172 women received treatment for pre-cancerous lesions
231 lab tests and 656 medication treatments provided
74 surgical referrals, 22 biopsies, and 5 cancer center referrals made
76 health professionals certified in VIA; **20 in Thermocoagulation
Services delivered across 11 departments, indirectly reaching 17 of Guatemala’s 22 states
We have now launched a Rotary Global District Grant to deepen this impact, already training and certifying 50 additional health professionals and screening 1,123 women in this phase alone.
Through Rotary and Faith In Practice, lives are being changed!
But this is just the beginning.
Where We’re Going Next
Faith In Practice is committed to reaching all 22 states in Guatemala with cervical cancer education, screening, and treatment.
We’re also working closely with the Guatemalan Ministry of Health and six other nonprofits to scale access to HPV vaccinations, a critical prevention tool in the fight against cervical cancer.
Together, we are leading the way in national collaborative impact in Guatemala.

This incredible momentum is just the beginning! New Rotary grant proposals are now underway to grow these initiatives even further, including a proposal to become one of the largest wheelchair distributors within Guatemala, a program to support biomedical equipment maintenance, biomedical education to develop other biomedical equipment technicians, and other life-impacting ideas.
