Day 4 – Wednesday: Making Connections
This morning was a beautiful reminder of God’s presence in the quiet moments of service. Impactful connections through meaningful conversations, shared laughter, and heartfelt stories, we had the privilege of witnessing lives marked by resilience, unwavering faith, and a deep love for family.
Each patient carried a unique journey, sharing a common reality—the gradual loss of mobility brought on by aging, injury, or chronic illness. Many were over the age of 70, navigating a season of life where independence had become more difficult and reliance on loved ones had become a daily reality.
What stood out most was not their limitations, but their strength. Every encounter reflected God’s love through compassion, presence, and the simple act of listening. It was a reminder that healing is not always about curing disease—it is often about restoring dignity, offering hope, and walking alongside others with grace.
By reducing the strain of daily assistance, families are given the opportunity to spend less time focused on physical limitations and more time embracing the moments that matter most—sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and creating lasting memories.
Today reminded me that God works through willing hands and compassionate hearts. Every act of service creates a ripple effect, extending far beyond the patient to the family, the caregiver, and the community. It is a privilege to be part of His work, serving others with humility, love, and the hope that every small act of kindness reflects His greater purpose.

Fell fracturing his rib(healed), has an old fracture in left knee limiting mobility to need a wheelchair because a walker but because of the arm; needs extra assistance to walk and do daily functions. He was provided a wheelchair allowing more movement and keep him from having discomfort.
He was humbled and grateful for the opportunity to be mobile, he gave blessings to Laura for her compassion and welcoming smile.

Today he received a walker giving him ability to stand easily, move independently with confidence and stability. He can pridefully stand in front of his class and teach his students without stress or fear of falling.

Josefa is a single mother due to the loss of her husband. She has a fruitful life with 10 children, 33-grandchildren and 20- great grandchildren.
She has health issues and not able to walk in last 2 months; both feet swollen; had cataract surgery 2 years ago. As alignments are continuing to rise in her aging she has become more dependent upon her family. Getting a wheelchair will provide stability and allow her to sit up, maintaining healthy bone structure and ease of movement vs being carried and immobile. This brings joy and excitement to the whole family seeing their loved embraces.
Her heart was overwhelmed by the compassion and guidance of the team: She prayed over the entire team with a heart overflowing with gratitude, thanking God for such a compassionate team. She asked God to continue pouring out His blessings upon each person, strengthening their hearts and renewing their spirits for the work He has called them to do.
