Day 5
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self- control. Against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22 -23
Our journey has come to an end in San Pedro Carcha, Guatemala.
Thank you for having us in your home and being so kind to us. We experienced love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, and faithfulness while here.
We pray that the seeds that were planted here make a difference one person, family, and community at a time. These were seeds of health education when needed, restored hope, smiles, hugs, and tangible items. The hope is that the health education provided will not stop with that patient, but the patient will tell a neighbor, or that patient can speak life into someone they come across.
We served 151 patients in four days.
We provided more than 90 wheelchairs, including two pediatrics wheelchairs.
We provided 30 walkers and exhausted all canes and crutches we had available.
Shoes, socks, and medication were given to those who needed them. We saw cases ranging from those recovering from a stroke, children born with cerebral palsy, work accidents, to Guillain-Barré syndrome.
This was a true team effort; every person mattered in this mission. People with a heart to serve made this possible.
Until next time Guatemala. Thank you for having us.
