Known and Loved
Dr. Oluwagbenga (Ben) Adesope, CEO
Hello Faith In Practice Family,
As we step into this new year, I carry with me the sacred stories of 2025: stories of courage, compassion, and quiet miracles, and a renewed certainty in this truth, every person we encounter is fully known and deeply loved by God.
In a world where so many feel forgotten, invisible, or discarded, our mission is more important than ever. Every chart reviewed, every surgical light turned on, every wheelchair assembled, every hand held, each one declares…you are seen. You are valued. You are not alone.
In this edition, we are honored to highlight one of our cherished partners: Free Wheelchair Mission. But to call what they offer “mobility” barely scratches the surface. What they offer is freedom. Dignity. New beginnings.
Imagine the mother who has carried her child on her back for years, suddenly placing them in a wheelchair for the first time. Imagine the man who hasn’t walked in decades, now able to enter church, to roll down the street, to dream again.
Mobility isn’t just about physical movement. It’s about spiritual and emotional healing. It’s about removing barriers so people can rise, not only from the ground, but from despair. And when a wheelchair arrives in a remote village, it isn’t just a delivery. It’s a love letter from God, reminding that person they are known and loved.
This past year has also been a season of transformation within our Faith In Practice family. We didn’t just go back, we went deeper. We reinvested in volunteer experience enhancements so that those who serve feel prepared, uplifted, and connected to the mission in heart and spirit. We elevated our patient and volunteer safety protocols to honor the sacred trust placed in our hands. And through our growing Mission Integration efforts, we realigned ourselves more fully with the heart of God, because if God is not at the center, we’ve missed everything.
To be known and loved means creating space where people feel safe, not just in body, but in soul.
Yes, we heal bodies, but we also hold stories. We track outcomes, but we reach hearts. We bring movement, but we allow God to use us to reawaken purpose.
As we settle into 2026, may we walk boldly in the calling that has been placed upon us.
Let us go where others won’t. Let us see who others overlook. Let us love when it’s inconvenient and serve when it stretches us. Because that is where Christ lives, in the margins, in the movement, in the miracle.
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I set you apart.”
Jeremiah 1:5
