“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together

in perfect harmony.” — Colossians 3:14

“Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.” — Dalai Lama

You are what you wear!  Is this true about you?  Many times, what we wear says something about who we are. Someone wearing a uniform might be a police officer or someone serving in the military.  Someone wearing a robe on Sunday morning might be a minister or someone singing in a choir. Someone wearing a helmet might be a football player or a motorcycle rider.  Someone wearing scrubs might be a doctor or a nurse.

One of the nice things Faith in Practice does for their village teams is that they provide scrubs for each day we work in the clinic.  We all wear scrubs.  It indicates we are all on the same team working for a common goal — to bring healing and hope to people in need.

Today was a very productive day.  We worked the first-day bugs out, and things flowed more smoothly.  Everyone contributed.  Not only were we wearing scrubs, but we also were clothed with love.  You could see it in how the patients were treated and cared for.  Jesus did say that people will know you are on his team if you love one another.  What we wear does indicate who we are!  What are you going to wear today?

Prayer:  Dear God, help me wear whatever will help your love flow through me.  Amen.
